YEREVAN, JANUARY 5, ARTSAKHPRESS. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said the Minister and Deputy Ministers of the new Ministry of Internal Affairs will be appointed next week.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs will be in charge of administering the Police force, the Rescue Service and the Migration and Citizenship Service.
The bill on creating the ministry passed parliament in 2022 and took effect December 30, 2022.
Prime Minister Pashinyan said at the Cabinet meeting that the Chief of Police and the Head of the Rescue Service will both be ex officio Deputy Ministers of Internal Affairs.
