Armenian and Georgian FMs discuss in detail a number of issues of regional security and stability

YEREVAN, JANUARY 12, ARTSAKHPRESS. On January 12, Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Georgian Foreign Minister Ilia Darchiashvili met within the framework of the session of the Armenian-Georgian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation.

As Armenpress was informed from MFA Armenia, Ararat Mirzoyan and Ilia Darchiashvili noted with satisfaction the high level of Armenian-Georgian relations based on the centuries-old friendship and common values of the two peoples, and exchanged thoughts on further expansion and deepening of cooperation.

The parties referred to the works carried out in the direction of strengthening trade and economic cooperation between Armenia and Georgia, highlighting the activities of the Armenian-Georgian intergovernmental commission.

A number of issues of regional security and stability were also discussed in detail during the meeting.

Ararat Mirzoyan presented to his Georgian colleague the day-by-day deteriorating humanitarian situation in Nagorno-Karabakh due to the blocking of the Lachin Corridor by Azerbaijan since December 12, 2022.
