YEREVAN, JUNE 5, ARTSAKHPRESS. On June 5, the delegation led by Alen Simonyan met with the members of the Committee on Foreign Policy of the Parliament of the Republic of Slovenia during the working dinner.
According to the readout issued by the Armenian Parliament, the Chair of the Armenian National Assembly Standing Committee on Foreign Relations Sargis Khandanyan and the deputy of the Civil Contract Faction, the member of the Armenia-Slovenia Friendship Group Lena Nazaryan took part in the meeting.
The interlocutors exchanged ideas on democracy, freedom of speech, the current challenges against human rights, touched upon the security situation in the South Caucasus and in Europe.
The National Assembly President Alen Simonyan presented to the Chair of the Committee on Foreign Policy of the National Assembly of Slovenia Predrag Baković the Crossroads of Peace project of the Government of the Republic of Armenia, underscored the importance of the project in the region for the establishment of trade-economic relations.
The perspectives of expanding the Armenia-Slovenia bilateral interaction, particularly, in the trade-economic, cultural, educational and scientific spheres were discussed.
