BTA. Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii Resumes Course to Gibraltar Late on Day 14

YEREVAN, JANUARY 10, ARTSAKHPRESS. The Bulgarian naval research/survey vessel Sv. Sv. Kiril i Metodii (NAVAL RSV 421) resumed it course to the Strait of Gibraltar after dropping anchor at Roquetas de Mar, in the Almería gulf, to evade the bad weather in the westernmost Mediterranean and wait for conditions to improve.

NAVAL RSV 421 raised anchor from around 8:00 p.m. CET. The ship is sailing at a speed of about 8 knots at a speed of about 8 knots with a headwind of 10 m/sec and a swell of 3-4 points Beaufort.

The vessel is on a historic voyage to Livingston Island, where it will support the 31st Bulgarian Antarctic Expedition. The ship is expected to reach its destination in some 40 days.
