YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, ARTSAKHPRESS. The combined death toll in Turkey and Syria following the devastating 7,7-magnitude earthquake that struck on February 6 has reached 34,179.
The death toll in Turkey stood at 29,605 as of Sunday, CNN reported citing the Turkish Emergency Coordination Center SAKOM.
In Syria, the total number of deaths stands at 4,574, including 3,160 in rebel-held areas in the northwest, according to the opposition, and 1,414 deaths in government-controlled parts of Syria, according to Syrian state media.
