YEREVAN, APRIL 26, ARTSAKHPRESS. The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland, Chairman of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe Þórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörð Gylfadóttir delivered a message on behalf of the Icelandic presidency at the PACE spring session on April 25.

ARMENPRESS reports the Facebook page “Armenia in Council of Europe” informs that during the question-and-answer session, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Iceland also touched on Nagorno Karabakh, noting that the current humanitarian situation is a cause for concern.

Minister Þórdís Kolbrún Reykfjörð Gylfadóttir stated that free movement through the Lachin Corridor should be restored in accordance with the interim measures applied by the European Court of Human Rights and the decision of the International Court of Justice.

Mrs. Gylfadóttir reaffirmed the statement made on January 19 on behalf of the Presidency of the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe, again calling for the restoration of freedom of movement through the Lachine Corridor.

The minister reminded the membership commitment undertaken by Azerbaijan and Armenia to settle the conflict peacefully, calling on them to stick to that commitment and settle the issues through dialogue.
