YEREVAN, MARCH 4, ARTSAKHPRESS. Rheinmetall is negotiating the construction of a tank factory in Ukraine, Rheinische Post reported citing the German defense conglomerate’s CEO Armin Papperger.
“A Rheinmetall tank production plant can be built in Ukraine for around 200 million euros,” explained the CEO.
He added that it could produce up to 400 Panther tanks a year.
The CEO described the talks with the Ukrainian authorities as “promising” and expressed hope that a decision could arrive “within the next two months”.
