MSC2023: PM Pashinyan and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen discuss Armenia-EU cooperation

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 18, ARTSAKHPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen held a meeting within the framework of the Munich Security Conference.

Various issues related to the cooperation between Armenia and the European Union were discussed, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a read-out.

Prime Minister Pashinyan emphasized that the EU is Armenia’s main partner in the implementation of the ongoing institutional reforms and thanked for the support in this direction.

President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen commended the course of democratic reforms in Armenia and expressed EU’s readiness to continue the support programs.

Views were exchanged around the programs planned in Armenia as part of the EU Eastern Partnership Economic and Investment Plan.

The current situation in the South Caucasus region was also discussed.
