YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 7, ARTSAKHPRESS. The parliament is now holding a closed session to discuss the second motion filed by the prosecutor-general seeking to prosecute MP Seyran Ohanyan.
Article 97 of the Constitution requires law enforcement authorities to obtain the consent of Parliament in order to prosecute a legislator.
The first motion, related to alleged abuse of power, was debated at an open session. Meanwhile, the second motion pertains to a classified case and only the lawmakers who have security clearance to classified information are taking part in the debate.
