PM Pashinyan holds phone talks with Putin, highlights need for Russia’s actions to overcome humanitarian crisis in NK

YEREVAN, JANUARY 31, ARTSAKHPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan held phone talks with President of Russia Vladimir Putin.

PM Pashinyan touched upon the humanitarian crisis in Nagorno Karabakh resulting from Azerbaijan’s illegal blockade of the Lachin corridor and attached importance to the implementation of necessary steps by Russia for overcoming it, the Prime Minister’s Office said in a read-out.

In this context, the activity of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Nagorno Karabakh was addressed. PM Pashinyan and President Putin discussed issues pertaining to the implementation of trilateral agreements signed by the leaders of Armenia, Russia and Azerbaijan on 9 November 2020, 11 January and 26 November 2021 and 31 October 2022.

Views were exchanged on other issues of the Armenian-Russian cooperation agenda.
