President of Israel offers condolences to Armenian President on the occasion of the death of 15 servicemen

YEREVAN, JANUARY 24, ARTSAKHPRESS. The President of the State of Israel, Isaac Herzog, sent a letter of condolence to the President of the Republic of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturian, in connection with the death of servicemen as a result of a fire in a military barracks on January 19.

As ARMENPRESS was informed from the office of the Honorary Consul of Israel in Armenia, the message reads as follows,

“Your Excellency,

Please accept my deepest condolences on the terrible tragic accident that claimed the lives of your soldiers.

The State of Israel – to our deep sorrow – has first hand experience with the death of our soldiers. We are personally acquainted with the shock and with the pain the accompanies an even that so cruelly ends these youthful lives in an instant.

I send you strength and prayers as you comfort the families , friends and colleagues of the victims during this period of mourning. I wish for the full and expeditious recovery of the wounded, both in the body and spirit.

As we say in the Jewish tradition, may the memory of those who perished be for a blessing. It is my sincere hope that 2023 will bring peace and harmony to you and all the people of Armenia”.
