United States Senator Robert Menendez has said that U.S. aid to Azerbaijan not only damages U.S. national security interests but also “flies in the face of our duty to honor the victims and survivors of the Armenian Genocide.” “And our duty to ensure that history does not repeat itself again,” he added.
Menendez, the Chair of the United States Senate Committee on Foreign Relations, was speaking at the Congressional Armenian Genocide Observance – 2023.
