YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 14, ARTSAKHPRESS.  United States Agency for International Development (USAID) Administrator Samantha Power reacted to Armenia sending humanitarian aid to quake-hit Turkey, describing it as “moving”.

“So moving to see decades of animosity set aside to help ppl in desperate need. For the 1st time in 35 yrs, a border crossing btwn Armenia and Türkiye has been opened so aid can reach earthquake victims. Armenia is sending through 100 tons of supplies, and a search & rescue team,” Power tweeted.

Turkey briefly opened its border with Armenia on February 11 to receive humanitarian aid sent by the Armenian government to help in the earthquake response. Armenia had also sent a 27-man search-and-rescue team to assist in the ongoing rescue operations.
