YEREVAN, JANUARY 23, ARTSAKHPRESS. On January 23, the Secretary of the Security Council of Armenia Armen Grigoryan received Toivo Klaar, the EU’s special representative for the South Caucasus and the crisis in Georgia. Head of the EU delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin was also present at the meeting.
As ARMENPRESS was informed from the Office of the Security Council, Armen Grigoryan and Toivo Klaar discussed the blocking of the Lachin corridor and the humanitarian crisis caused by it. Secretary Grigoryan emphasized the importance of implementation of effective steps by international partners aimed at stopping the illegal blockade of Nagorno Karabakh and preventing the ethnic cleansing of Artsakh Armenians.
The interlocutors also discussed other issues of bilateral interest at the meeting.
