YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 13, ARTSAKHPRESS. The EU monitoring mission in Armenia is a civilian mission and is not directed against anyone, Member of Parliament, Secretary of the Civil Contract faction Arthur Hovhannisyan said at a press briefing.
He said that Armenia is engaged in a very active foreign policy both with Russia and the West, and Iran.
“There’s no need to explain to anyone that the EU civilian mission isn’t directed against anyone. And this is exclusively in the interests of Armenia,” the MP said.
He said that Armenia is engaged in a very active foreign policy both with Russia and the West, and Iran, and proceeds from Armenian interests in this context.
He said that the West-Russia confrontation must not be spread on the developments around Armenia. The MP emphasized that the government of Armenia is proceedings from the state interests of Armenia. “The EU monitoring mission is a civilian mission, it is not directed against anyone, it is here to carry out exclusively a monitoring mission, to record to problems, the situation that exist on the borders of Armenia,” Hovhannisyan said, emphasizing that there’s no geopolitical context here.
