FM Mirzoyan presents Armenia’s positions on regional issues to Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna

YEREVAN, JANUARY 16, ARTSAKHPRESS. On January 16, in Vienna, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Armenia Ararat Mirzoyan had a meeting with Ghada Fatհi Waly, the Director-General of the United Nations Office at Vienna and Executive Director of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), ARTSAKHPRESS.was informed from the MFA Armenia.

The Foreign Minister of Armenia noted that Armenia attaches great importance to the continuous expansion of cooperation with the UN system and specialized bodies.

During the meeting, Minister Mirzoyan touched upon the reforms carried out by the Government of the Republic of Armenia, including in anti-corruption, judicial and police sectors.

The sides discussed the prospects of cooperation and implementation of joint programs in the prevention of corruption and economic crimes, as well as the fight against illegal drug trafficking, organized crime, use of foreign mercenary fighters and terrorism. In this regard, the importance of the implementation of the Roadmap of Cooperation between Armenia and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, signed last year, was highlighted.

The Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Armenia also briefed his interlocutor on the positions of Armenia regarding a number of regional issues.
