JANUARY 17, ARTSAKHPRESS. A patient who was transported from Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) to Armenia under Red Cross mediation has returned to Artsakh after receiving the required treatment.

International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) Armenia communications manager Zara Amatuni told ARMENPRESS that they again facilitated the return of the patient.

“The patient who had earlier been transported to Armenia for treatment recently returned home under ICRC mediation alongside two attendants after receiving the required treatment,” Amatuni said.

During the ongoing blockade the ICRC facilitated the transfer of 30 patients from Artsakh to Armenia.

The more than 10 tons of medicine, baby food and other supplies provided by the Armenian government on 25 December, 2022 were transported by cargo truck to Artsakh.

“A day before one of our passenger cars transported medication. And on January 15, 2023 an ICRC truck carrying medication and other items was sent to Nagorno Karabakh to distribute the items in medical facilities,” Amatuni said.
