CSTO General Secretary Imangali Tasmagambetov stated that tension in the Caucasus region is maintained due to long-lasting contradictions between Armenia and Azerbaijan, ARTSAKHPRESS.reports, citing TASS, the CSTO General Secretary announced on April 28, during the event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the CSTO Joint Headquarters.
“The world is returning to times of confrontation, with the prospect of further strengthening the potential for conflict. The negative trends have a direct impact on the situation of the entire perimeter of the CSTO zone of responsibility,” Tasmagambetov said.
