YEREVAN, APRIL 26, ARTSAKHPRESS. The High Representative of the EU’s foreign affairs and security policy, Josep Borrell, emphasized that the installation of the Azerbaijani checkpoint in the Lachin Corridor contradicts the EU’s calls for de-escalation of tensions.

“Azerbaijan’s unilateral installation of a checkpoint along the Lachin Corridor contradicts the calls of the EU to ease tensions and resolve issues through dialogue. The European Union continues to participate in the promotion of peace and stability in the South Caucasus. The rights and security of Karabakh Armenians must be ensured,” ARMENPRESS reports, Borrell wrote on his Twitter microblog.
